Glasa study · Canadian immigration consultants · Canada · 24 Sep 2026 · 20 questions × 5 engines · 99 answers
AI named 200+ immigration consultants in Canada. One firm shows up in a third of answers.
We asked ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot and Google AI Mode 20 questions applicants really ask, from “best consultant in Toronto” to “I'm from Nigeria, who is reliable?”. Here is who they recommend, and where that advice comes from.
Which immigration consultants AI recommends
Share of the 78 analyzed answers that name each firm.
Each engine has its own favourites

What we found
01 No firm owns the category. More than 200 firms across 78 analyzed answers, most of them named only once. The most-named firm shows up in 24 of 78 answers (31%). The next ones appear in 9.
02 The top firm is also a top source. The most-named firm's own website is the second most-cited source in the whole study (26 answers). Its guides feed the answers that recommend it.
03 The applicant's country changes the list. Ask “I'm from India / Nigeria / the Philippines / Brazil”, or “I live in Dubai”, and AI names mostly different firms: of about 60 firms in those answers, fewer than 10 also appear when the question is about Canada itself.
04 Trust comes first. 87 of 99 answers mention the regulator, the CICC, and most tell the buyer to verify the consultant's licence, often on the public register. The regulator gets more mentions than any firm.
05 Comparison sites beat firm websites. The most-cited domain is coursecompare.ca (28 answers), ahead of every firm's website. Government pages (canada.ca) and the CICC register follow.
06 Each engine has its own favourites. Maple Immigration Services was named 5 times, all by Copilot. Heron Law Offices appeared only in Google AI Mode. Visibility in one engine says little about the others.
Before paying anyone: verify the individual consultant's name and Active status in the official CICC public register.
There is no single "best" immigration consultant for Canada, as the ideal choice depends heavily on your specific needs, budget, and the type of visa you are applying for…

How to get your firm into AI answers
→ Make your licence easy to verify
87 of 99 answers mention the CICC and most tell applicants to verify the licence. Show your name and licence number where AI and applicants can find them.
→ Be where AI looks
AI cites comparison and review sites more than firm websites: coursecompare.ca was cited in 28 answers. Check your profiles on the sites in the table above.
→ Write for your source markets
When the applicant says where they're from, AI names mostly different firms. Guides for applicants from India, Nigeria or the Philippines are a gap you can fill.

Questions
Does ChatGPT recommend immigration consultants in Canada?
Yes, but rarely the same ones. Across ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot and Google AI Mode, AI named 200+ different immigration consultants in our September 2026 study. The most-named, RightWay Canada, appeared in 31% of analyzed answers.
How do I get my firm recommended by AI?
In this study, three things set the firms AI names apart: Make your licence easy to verify, be where AI looks and write for your source markets.
How was this study done?
20 questions a real client would ask, each run once through ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot and Google AI Mode on 24 September 2026, with the market set to Canada. 99 answers were collected. Treat it as a snapshot, not a ranking of firm quality.
Method · one run, 24 Sep 2026, market Canada
- 20 unbranded questions a real applicant would ask: city searches (Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, Montreal), programs (Express Entry, study permit, spousal and parent sponsorship, LMIA, Start-up Visa) and five “I'm from…” questions.
- Each question ran once in the Glasa product through ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot and Google AI Mode, market set to Canada, on 24 September 2026 (08:58–09:26 UTC).
- 99 of 100 answers were collected. Glasa extracted named businesses from 78 of them; we then removed regulators, government programs, map credits and review sites by hand and merged obvious name variants.
- Sources are the URLs each engine cited in its answer, grouped by domain.
One run on one day. AI answers change between runs, accounts and locations, so treat the counts as a snapshot, not a ranking of firm quality. Being named by AI says nothing about a firm's licence or results; check the CICC register.
